Camps / Classes for Toddlers through Grade 5
Summer Arts Play Theatre Camp: For students entering Grades 1-5.
Join Arts Play Theatre for the perfect blend of learning and fun as we rehearse and perform The Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark Kids. Every student will have a role in the play, and they will all help design the scenery and costumes. In addition to rehearsals, students will take classes in acting, singing, dance, and visual arts / design. They will also take special master classes led by a visiting professional guest artist. Beyond classes and rehearsals, campers will enjoy fun experiences such as time to create their own projects, creative play, and spirit days.

Pretend With Me: For 18 mo - 4 years with Caregivers. Professional theatre artists use dramatic techniques to guide children and their caregivers to play together using creativity and imagination. There is no performance component, just fun!
Sessions are pay what you decide - we suggest a contribution of $15 per child per class but we welcome everyone at any level you choose to pay.

The Arts Play Actors Perform a Show
WATCH OUR TRAILER!
The story is that two professional actors arrive, with everything they need to do a show. The only problem? They forgot the whole script! They create a show as they go, teaching the students in the audience how to create their own plays. Students leave this 45 minute comedic assembly with an outline for their own script.
For Grade K-5. This show aligns with both the Social and Emotional Learning Curriculum and the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for the Visual and Performing Arts.
Pre-K: While they will enjoy the show, the accompanying writing component is generally too difficult. However, our Imaginactors preschool program, detailed below, is great for this age group!
Rates vary as we strive to be both high quality and accessible. More information available below and upon request.

Age 4 - Kindergarten
Drama Team: Drama Explorers

Drama Classes for ages 4 through kindergarten. Students will have fun with dramatic play and learn theatre basics. Class concludes with a performance in our Drama Team Showcase! Class meets weekly on Saturdays from 12:15 – 12:55 pm, ending on January 23.

Students in grade 1-5 will strengthen their music and theatre skills, then perform featured roles in the play “Ninjarella” in our Drama Team Showcase! Class meets weekly on Saturdays from 1 – 2:15 pm, ending on January 23.

The Arts Play Actors Perform a Show
We travel to you!
An interactive, 45-minute, professional performance! When the actors’ script is unreadable due to “fishie cracker” crumbs, they decide to make up a play on the spot. During their comedic journey filled with caves of candy, speedy sloths, and more, they also guide the students in the audience to create outlines for their own plays. Bring us to your school or community organization!

Your classroom
Bring Arts Play Theatre to your preschool classroom to encourage creativity and character through dramatic play. In this 30 minute session, professional teaching artists guide students in drama activities involving music, movement and imagination. This program is customized to connect to your curriculum and SEL topics. Turn your classroom into an interactive, theatrical adventure!
